This elegantly behatted group are Mr Murphy of Prior Park, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary and sister(s) perhaps…
Looks as if this was Thomas Murphy, a brewer, and that one of the elegant ladies was his sister, Amy Isabel because blackpoolbeach found them on Prior Park Road in the 1901 census.
Sadly, Niall McAuley discovered that Amy Isabel Murphy died when the R.M.S. Leinster was torpedoed in October 1918.

Stunning (in more ways than one!) display of pig carcasses outside J. Morgan’s butcher shop on Broad Street, Waterford. Wondering if that’s Mr Morgan, front and centre, with his butchering belt?
The photographer has also captured women emerging from The Home and Colonial Stores Limited next door on Broad Street, probably having purchased tea. Have a look at that shop and its staff, captured on Tuesday, 10 May 1910.

You will all have to forgive this group’s rather wooden poses! This is the fruits of the labour of students at a technical school in Waterford.
Couldn’t resist it on a number of grounds. Firstly, it wins the most unusual group photographed in a field category. Secondly, I had hoped that we’d be able to catch a glimpse of the photographer in one on the mirrors, but that was not to be…
